**Thank You for Your Trust and Support — My Commitment to Our Community Continues**

Dear residents, friends, and supporters of Ward 22 Scarborough–Agincourt, The 2026 Toronto municipal election has come to an end. Although I was not elected as your City Councillor, I fully respect the decision of the voters and extend my congratulations to Councillor Nick Mantas on his re-election. First and foremost, I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who placed their trust in me and supported my campaign. Every vote represented more than just a number. It was a reflection of your trust, your hopes, and your belief in the importance of serving our community. I am especially grateful to our dedicated volunteers, campaign team, family members, and friends. Your countless hours of hard work, from knocking on doors and distributing flyers to attending community events and speaking with residents, made this journey possible. Throughout the campaign, I had the privilege of meeting and listening to many residents who shared their concerns about community safety, transportation, affordability, municipal services, and the future of Scarborough–Agincourt. These conversations reminded me that building a stronger community begins with listening, understanding, and taking meaningful action. Having served with the Toronto Police Service for many years, I have always believed that public service is more than a position or a title. It is a commitment to the people we serve. **Elections have winners and losers, but my commitment to serving the community does not end with an election result.** Although I will not have the opportunity to serve as your City Councillor at this time, I remain a member of this community and will continue to care about its people and its future. Once again, thank you to everyone who supported, encouraged, and stood alongside me throughout this campaign. I also thank every resident who took the time to participate in our democratic process. **The election may be over, but our care and responsibility for this community continue.** With sincere appreciation, **Bill Chan (Bill Sir)** October 27, 2026
