Hello! I’m Chor Piu (Bill) Chan.
For more than two decades, I have been dedicated to serving the people of Toronto. I began my career with the Toronto Police Service in 2000 and served for nearly 15 years in frontline policing, including crime prevention, community safety, investigations, traffic enforcement, and community engagement.
As a Chinese Community Liaison Officer for more than a decade, I built strong partnerships with residents, local businesses, and community organizations.
After retiring from the police service, I served as Executive Director of the Toronto Chinese Community Service Association, now the Cross-Cultural Community Services Association. In 2018, I founded the ForPeople Community Support Association, where I continue to serve as President and Executive Director, supporting newcomers, youth, seniors, and families.
I am running for Toronto City Council to bring experienced, accountable, and community-focused leadership to City Hall.
