Dave McCormack

August 19, 2026 To the constituents of Ward 22, Scarborough-Agincourt. My name is Dave McCormack, and I am a retired Superintendent from the Toronto Police Service. I have known Bill Chan for approximately 20 years, and I had the pleasure of working alongside of him for many of those years. During my time as Co-chair of the Chief’s Chinese Community Consultative Committee (CCCC), Bill was my liaison officer. It was then that I saw Bill’s caring and compassion for the community that he served. Bill knows how to connect people with the services that they need and worked tirelessly to do so. Bill organized many annual events that were always well received by the community. When his time was up on the CCCC, Bill and I continued working together where he was my liaison officer in Chinatown. Upon his retirement from the TPS, Bill continued his work serving the community, especially newcomers. Bill will continue to bring that level of caring and service to the community going forward.
